Community and Competition on the Water

In the legacy of the Pocock family, we offer ongoing programs for middle and high school rowers, whether they are new to the sport or building on their prior rowing experience.

The Pocock Youth Rowing Team is a program of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation and rows out of the George Pocock Memorial Rowing Center.

The GPRF’s mission is to help young people access and experience the life-changing sport of rowing.

And it is their vision to build and support an inclusive rowing community that is accessible for all young people.

Learn More About the GPRF
The George Pocock Rowing Foundation.

Anyone who wants to row should be able to do so, regardless of background, economic status, or previous exclusion from the sport of rowing. To help make this possible, the GPRF funds youth rowing financial aid at our partner boathouses, providing funding for as many students in grades 6-12 as possible.

Partial and full financial aid packages are available, and funds may be used to cover the cost of registration and regatta fees, swimming instruction, team uniform, and transportation.

Youth of color and those facing socio-economic barriers are encouraged to apply.
